As you may have noticed, we've gone into one of those panic-inducing silences that usually results in months on end with no new Steele/McFly material to greet you in the morning. Fear not, terrified listener, because we've been toiling away tirelessly in this time and, good news, a little bit of that toiling was actually on something Steele/McFly related.

Yes, our next big project is imminent. Check the above link for the first official preview. Release should begin within the next few weeks. Check back here for more concrete release details as they emerge.

The Streamys vs. Steele/McFly
posted by Seamus McFly on December 16, 2009 @ 3:52pm

http://www.streamys.org/

The Streamy Awards: an award show, started last year, honoring excellence in web television.

Yesterday, the nomination process for the second annual Streamy Awards began and you can all take part. If you've enjoyed the Steele/McFly World Tour this year, thought about enjoying it, or even if you don't particularly like it, I desperately hope you'll help out by voting for the show by submitting a public submission on the Streamys website. S/McF was ineligible for these awards last year, since they require three episodes to be released in the calender year and we only put out two. This year saw eight full episodes of the show which I put my heart and soul into writing, performing, editing and publishing along with my colleagues Ireland Steele and Chefgon. I've worked very hard on the series this year and it would be a great way to show your love if you could all try to make a point of voting for the show daily and encouraging others to do the same.

Here's some categories you could vote for us under:

Submit a Series:
Best Comedy Web Series

Submit an Individual:
Best Sound Design in a Web Series - Seamus McFly
Best Male Actor in a Comedy Web Series - Ireland Steele
Best Writing for a Comedy Web Series - Seamus McFly & Ireland Steele
Best Editing in a Web Series - Seamus McFly
Best Directing for a Comedy Web Series - Seamus McFly & Ireland Steele

For all submissions:
Series Name: The Steele/McFly World Tour
Series URL: http://www.steelemcfly.com/

It would help us out the most if you could vote for as many of these as possible. If you can only dedicate yourself to vote for one each day, please make it Best Comedy Web Series or Best Sound Design in a Web Series. The voting is designed to accept one submission for each category from an IP address every day until submissions close on January 15, 2010. Doing this and spreading the word to others to do the same would be of enormous help to the Steele/McFly empire and I will be eternally grateful. If we coordinate our efforts, I believe we could get this thing nominated.

I guess what I'm getting at here is... Please, please vote for my show! I'll be your best friend!

July 2008:
The Steele/McFly Podcast ends with some weird trailer episode that doesn't explain anything.

January 2009:
The Steele/McFly World Tour begins. McFly brags about that spy scene for years to come.

November 2009:
The Steele/McFly World Tour finally ends at that island where Jurassic Park happened. You read this blog post and chuckle a little bit at the joke about the trailer episode. Your life is changed forever.

Episode 7: The Beginning of the End of the Second Season
posted by Seamus McFly on October 29, 2009 @ 11:52pm

It has been a long and excessively windy road to reach this point, but the time is finally here. With the world toured and New Zealand reached, what else is there to do? Well, a whole episode's worth apparently. This may seem like a flimsy excuse for me to finally utilize the term "penultimate" legitimately, but there is one more episode to go before the World Tour finally draws to a close. Be sure to return to this very website on November the 13th for the grand finale of The Steele/McFly World Tour. I'd suggest preparing for the event by investing in a special cushion designed around the edge of your seat, because you'll be spending an awful lot of time up there. Until then, enjoy the first part of the Season Two finale, the sprawling epic known as New Zealand.

Oh! Canada?
posted by Seamus McFly on October 15, 2009 @ 11:39pm

All that business last time was awful exciting, wasn't it? Helicopters, gunfights, Sulu. A rollicking good time for the whole extended family. The unfortunate part is that all those things cost quite a lot of money. So, I had better just tell you the bad news. The highly televised Times Square launch party has been cancelled in favor of the usual blog post method. In fact, this is even more modest than usual, as this blog post isn't even coming from a computer, but being posted via the "McFlymophone", a big red phone that sits on my desk. But let's not dwell on what we don't have and take a good look at what we do. Our health, a webpage with integrated Twitter updates, millions of dollars and a brand new episode of the Steele/McFly World Tour, the not-so-shockingly titled Canada.

Well... This is awkward.

Oh.
Hey.
Uh, I didn't realize you were still waiting around. Yeah. This is a little weird. So, like, the new episode isn't up yet. You already know that. Why would I say that? That was a stupid thing to say. Stupid. So okay, Episode 5 will absolutely probably be posted some time today. You know, once I find out why it's not posted now. Alright. Cool. I'll see you around then. Yeah. Super sorry about that. Okay, you could probably just check in every once in a while and see if it's here. I promise it's really good. At least, you know, it's pretty good. Oh yeah. Yeah, I'll see you later. Cool. Yeah.

Steele/McFly Season 2.5?

Everybody's favorite duo of guys that make the Steele/McFly World Tour return with a real life, not imaginary new episode. Really! It's Episode 4! Go ahead and click it, it's packed with all kinds of new stuff. New jokes, new gags, new comedy. I'm not even fooling around here.

So, without any further, enjoy this new episode of the Steele/McFly World Tour. Then, I dunno, enjoy some old episodes. Those were pretty good, right?

Steele/McFly Fun Fact: Episode 4 is exactly one second longer than Episode 1. How does that even happen?

World Tour on YouTube
posted by Seamus McFly on August 18, 2009 @ 8:25pm

Because you've been begging me for it constantly for months (right?), the three currently existing episodes of The Steele/McFly World Tour are now streaming on YouTube. Also, some painstaking organization of the YouTube page has occurred. It didn't actually need to painstaking, but I overcomplicated it to the degree that it could be considered painstaking. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but I probably shouldn't have explained that part of it.

The World Tour is still happening
posted by Chefgon on August 10, 2009 @ 6:26pm

Steele/McFly Big Cheese Chefgon here, calling out to you from the eerily quiet, seemingly abandoned halls of Steele/McFly Productions with an announcement of vague proportions.

I can see you now. Sitting in your faux-leather computer chair, biting your nails down to unattractive stubs and doing that annoying thing where you endlessly tap your foot without realizing it out of fear that Steele/McFly Productions has given up on you. There are no new episode release dates announced, there hasn't been a new Hiatus in almost two months, and Ireland Steele hasn't been answering your phone calls. All the bad things in the world seem to be descending upon you at once.

I am here to relieve you of your fears. No, not with new content, not even with release dates for new content, but with the noncommittal yet emotionally comforting promise that the Steele/McFly World Tour is still in production.

There have been lots of exciting goings-on in the world of Steele/McFly the last few months, but due to contractual obligations I am unable to reveal them to you yet, which has the convenient side-effect of making these new developments significantly more exciting to your brain than anything I could have possibly announced outright.

What could these exciting developments possibly be? A hot air balloon? Some quarters with mustaches drawn on George Washington's face? A small jar of of leftover screws from a bookshelf that Seamus and myself put together over the weekend with questionable success? Only time will tell for sure.

So feel free to continue biting your nails and stomping your feet, but this time do it with anticipation of greatness rather than fear of disaster. If that isn't enough, feel free to throw in some incoherent babbling for good measure. And remember, all of this excitement is made much more profitable when you accompany it with regular visits to the Steele/McFly merchandise store.

Until next time,
-Chefgon, Heartless Producer of Steele/McFly

Update of Progress

We the Podcast have update on what we the Podcast has been doing with the show-making process. Episode 4 is going to be soon to your computers. Release date is not yet. You must be with the patience. Meantime, enjoy more parts Hiatus-filled textual adventures. Also tell friend and loved one the internet place where the Steele/McFly show lives. It give us more fans for who to make the show more popular upon. Just say, "Hear the man with funny Sean Connery for laughter to happen." Failure is not.

Steele/McFly World Tour CANCELLED
posted by Chefgon on April 1, 2009 @ 7:49am

As a result of the harsh economic climate, Steele/McFly Productions has been forced to close its doors forever. Mysterious producer and evil billionaire tycoon Chefgon was forced to fire his entire creative staff and give himself a $240 million severance package.

Reports say that an attempt was made to obtain a bailout check from the government, but after much internal debate in the senate the request was denied. When reached for comment, a depressed President Obama replied "It's quite unfortunate; I really wanted to find out what happened with that cow tipping thing."

New Site Sections
posted by Chefgon on March 10, 2009 @ 10:48pm

At long last, the new Steelemcfly.com is complete. Check out the latest features to come online, most notably the Bonus Materials section. Here you'll find great tidbits like the Steele/McFly Productions origin story, Coming Attractions movie posters, and Seamus McFly's One Year Anniversary Special episode.

Also new are some specialized blog sections, one containing all of Ramone Barbossa's episode reviews, and another that will contain all the entries from the upcoming "Hiatus" text-only episode.

There has also been some housekeeping behind-the-scenes, in the evil laboratory known as the chefgonDOTcom science lab. The results were two-fold. The first was a top-secret new strategy to charge you money every time you listen to an episode without you realizing it. The other, less imaginary creation was a program to allow Ireland and Seamus to more easily update this blog at their leisure. What this means is that you can expect your favorite podcast stars to show up here far more often from now on, and if they don't you can hold them personally responsible by throwing empty candy boxes at them when you see them on the street.

Science, Computers, Blogs

Episode 3: London
posted by Ireland Steele on February 27, 2009 @ 12:00am

In a world where nothing is as it seems.. where no-one is who they claim.. it's comforting to know the podcast will always be there to back up those dastardly earthly philosophies. We here at Steele/McFly Productions are proud to support the dark, sketchy, and sometimes witty low standards set by the world around us. So sit back dear friends and enjoy the slew of stereotypes, snappy one-liners, and Emma Watson references.

Episode 2
posted by Chefgon on February 13, 2009 @ 12:00am

Looks like I get the honor of introducing the Episode this week.

Over a year in the making, this episode is destined to become an instant American classic. Produced by chefgonDOTcom, written by my most talented writers (Ireland Steele and Seamus McFly), and performed by the only actors willing to work for the money I offered (also Ireland Steele and Seamus McFly), "The Year 2008" is truly the product of today's greatest minds coming together. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed taking credit for it.

Yet another site feature online
posted by Chefgon on February 4, 2009 @ 10:21pm

The characters page is now ready for viewing. And reading, if you know how, but don't let that deter you. It's plenty of fun to just stare at the incomprehensible words and imagine what kind of fanciful jigs they would be dancing if they were able.

The Tale of Magdelian Magdelor
posted by Ireland Steele on February 2, 2009 @ 7:39pm

Friends, Romans countrymen- lend me your ears
For I bring you a story that will drive you to tears
Taws’ a wet dreary day in the middle of May
When our hero zipped up his jacket and went off on his way
Through the long winding streets of a long winding town
Past the long winding vender and his long winding frown
Up a long winding lane on a long winding hill
Where our dear friend Magdelian took quite a spill
His jacket was torn and his trousers were soiled
His knees were in tatters and his sandwiches spoiled
His hat was tragically lost in a cruel westerly breeze
And Magdelian Magdelor fell to his knees
And proclaimed to the sky “I ran out of time!
Is there no forgiveness for my dastardly crime?
I swear I was planning on listening later
Please do not label me as a Steele/McFly hater”
But there was no answer but the mocking west wind
For all knew that our miserable hero had sinned
I urge you dear readers- take heed at my words!
Or your hat will soon too be at the mercy of birds
Listen to episode 1 of podcast season 2
Or a horrible fate will come calling for you
For the sake of your sanity I strongly implore
You heed the Tale of Magdelian Magdelor

It unfortunately requires mouse clicking, unlike the old style clickless navigation, but using this new style we should be able to bring you regular updates so there is something new to read every day. There might be broken links hanging around here and there while we get everything up to speed, but we should have all the kinks worked out in the next week or so.
